One of the leading product from this manufacturer is Herman Miller Burdick desk, the name is taken from the desk designer itself named Bruce Burdick, the man behind Burdick Group table, since table is the hyperym of desk, let’s just consider it the same in functional value, and also because this Burdick Group is a multi-configuration table.
The Herman Miller Burdick desk is known for its modular desks supported by central aluminum beams which are fixed to 3-point bases, steel leg columns, and can be arranged or combined into some useful shapes like L, T, U, or S. There are two surface shapes made from glass, stone, and laminate materials. And the shapes are one rectangular and two small rectangular with rounded end when the two are combined they can be a small rounded table. As an information, this design won the IBD and IDSA design awards for 1980 and also Time magazine "Best of 1981" industrial design award.
