By adding under cabinet lighting in your kitchen will make the dark space on the countertop into a beautiful kitchen. And now I will tell you step by step to install it guys. This is so simple and you can do it by yourself.
Before start to installing, you need to make sure that you already have the materials to install under cabinet lighting. I use drill or screw guy, safety glasses, Philips screwdriver, UL-listed cable staples, outlet within 6’ of lighting location, 1-8’’ xenon under-cabinet light for every 16’’ to 24’’ of my cabinets, and the last is ½’’ drill bit and 1/16’’ drill bit. Now you need to planning the location and spacing for your lighting. I recommend for spacing the lights is better when it is less than 13 inches apart. Link the light with quick-connect cords, and do not plug in the lights now guys. You need to adjust the light to make the last light till 6 feet of outlet. And ensure the outlet can reach the power cord guys.
Now is the time to install under cabinet lighting. Place the mounting template in the location that you planned for each light and mark for the screw-hole locations. I recommend giving more space for the cord around the lights. This is to make the cord easily to plug in guys. Drill a hole with 1/16’’ drill bit and then with 5/8’’. Insert the mounting screws and tighten it. Slide the lights onto the exposed screw and lock it. Repeat it until all lights installed.
Lighting system is better if you hidden it from the sight. Now mount the cords guys. Connect all the lights with quick-connect cord. Screw down your cable staples to make the cables stay underside the cabinet. Make sure the cables in the front edge of your cabinet to conceal the wires from the sight. Now insert the bulbs in lights. Be careful guys! Do not touch the xenon bulbs with your fingers! Now plug in all the lights and turn it on.
